Homemade Meatballs

Today’s recipes comes from one of my fitness friend, Monica Cianfrini. I made these meatballs last week and they were delicious!

Beef & Turkey Meatballs

1 package Ground Turkey*

1 package Ground Beef (preferable organic grass-fed)*

2 slices of Ezekiel bread toasted and then ground into breadcrumbs (or whole grain breadcrumbs)

1 egg

1/2 medium size onion chopped

1 cup of dried parsley

salt and pepper to taste

1/2 cup of garlic seasoning

Squeeze of Sriracha hot sauce

*You can use 2 packages of turkey or beef

Mix all ingredients together in a big bowl.

Roll into 1.5 – 2 inch meatballs. Our family likes them bigger and I find they stay more tender.

Bake at 400F for 10 minutes. Take out of the oven and flip the meatballs over.

Continue checking until no redness instead of the meatball. I cut a meatball open in the middle of the pan and continue checking it every couple of minutes.

Combine with your favourite pasta sauce and pasta or eat as a snack!
