Two Bite Avocado Brownies

On Sunday’s we usually always head over to my boyfriend’s parents house for dinner.  It is always so nice to spend the afternoon/evening with all of his family and it is always a nice break for me since I get to enjoy someone else delicious cooking!

However, since the sun is finally shining here in Ontario and I have been loving BBQing, we offered to do Sunday dinner at our place!

We made beef & chicken burgers with some salads & grilled veggies on the side! It was totally delicious and made for the perfect Sunday!

I also made some of these two-bite avocado brownies for dessert! When I get the opportunity to show people that healthy treats taste just as good as the real deal, I always jump on it!

And these brownies were definitely not a disappointment! They are delicious if you top them with any nut butters, melted frozen fruit, whip cream, or a scoop of ice cream!


1 avocado (fairly ripe)
1/4 cup of manuka honey
1/2 cup of unsweetened apple sauce
2/3 cup of coconut flour
1/4 cup of cocao powder
1 tsp of vanilla extract


  1. Pre-heat oven to 350
  2. Mash the avocado (you don’t want any chunks) & mix it well with the honey & apple sauce. (I find that microwaving the honey for 30 seconds makes it easier to mix)
  3. Add the coconut flour & cocao powder and stir well
  4. Once everything is incorporated and there isn’t any clumps left, add in the vanilla extract
  5. Pour the batter into mini muffin containers & bake in the oven for 15 minutes.  This makes 24 brownies. Note- I only had one mini muffin container so I had to cook them in two batches.

  1. These are so easy! I think they’d be amazing warmed and topped with some chunky PB or even crumbled on top of some banana ice cream.
