As you can probably tell through my lack of recipes, during the summer months, I really don’t spend a lot of time baking. I usually stick to simple snacks that don’t require them to be baked. I swear this is the case since there are fresh berries everywhere! I love fresh local berries in the summer!
Today I wanted to share with you one of my favourite snacks right now with berries! It is so easy to make & I love it for my afternoon snack!
1 cup of unsweetened almond milk
1-2 tbsp of vanilla/chocolate protein powder
Dash of cinnamon
1 cup of fresh berries
Small handful of almonds (5-8)
Put the almond milk, protein powder & cinnamon in a dish and stir well. Add in the mix berries & nuts when you are about to eat it!
Since I usually pack this in my lunch pale, I have one container for the milk, a separate container with the berries and then pour the berries into the milk mixture just before I am going to eat it!
You could definitely have this as a meal too by just increasing the portion size or adding in some broken up rice cakes!
